Hey!!

I'm back from vacation! Slightly less white than I was when I left. About the 100_situations prompt, I didn't forget about it but I'm waiting for my claim to be approved, I think I'll send them an e-mail soon. I already wrote 3 of them but there was a thing with my dad's computer and I'll only be able to get them back wednesday, I'll see about posting them.

Also, I think I need new icons... I'll see about doing that too.

And now for today's ficlet. A Smallville/Supernatural crossover, inspired by mute90's CollegeBound. It probably reads better with some knowledge from it, but just the first chapters.

Title: Smile
Rating: G
Summary: You have to be careful with these innocent smiles.

*~~*~~*~~*
Lex always thought no one would get so close to using the need-to-be-patented smile, but Clark Kent did pretty well. Maybe that was why he made friends with the farm boy, his resemblance to another boy he met when he was younger. But if Clark Kent and Sam Winchester had height, messy hair, green eyes and that fateful smile in common, they were different in many ways.

Sam knew more about real life. Not the "small town where everybody knows your name" thing Clark had. Sam could lie and deceive, he picked locks and had other skills one wouldn't expect from a schollarship student. Having a marine for a father could only explain so much.

Sam didn't judge him or try to save him (except in bar fights and assassination attempts). He didn't comment on his drug use (except from a few mutters about "rich people" and crashing).

While Clark was naive, he hoped for the best and expected nothing less. Experience told Lex that wouldn't work for long.

Still, the two of them had secrets Lex still tried to work out, but they were well versed in using that smile and the "innocent boy charm" to distract him.

He isn't sure if he was lucky that these two appeared in his life, but it certainly made things a lot more interesting.

R & R!

Edited to add: By the way, Happy New Year! May 2008 bring all things nice, there's enough of the bad stuff around!
